After trailing by one-goal at the opening break, BFNL shot 12 goals to eight in the second stanza to take a three-goal lead into the half-time break. The dominance continued after half-time, outscoring their opponents by four goals and nine goals in the third and fourth quarters to record a 16-goal win, 46 to 30.
The Under 15s enjoyed a solid outing with a win over Colac and District.
Under 17s faced Colac and District who were fresh off a 23-goal win over Geelong and District in round one. BFNL went into the game on the back of a seven-goal win over Geelong FNL.
BFNL burst out of the blocks against a highly fancied opposition to lead by one-goal at quarter-time, 13-12. Both teams traded goals in the second stanza, 15-apiece as BFNL held a one-goal lead at half-time.
Colac and District found its edge that it had in round one and stormed to a six goal lead in the premiership quarter (third). BFNL tried hard in the final term but couldn't peg back the goals and went down by eight, 52 to 44.
